EVO FUTSAL

Develop the details. Elevate the player. 

EVO Futsal is launching in 2026 as a key development pillar within the EVO pathway.

 

Futsal isn’t a side activity or a distraction from outdoor football - it’s a proven accelerator of technical quality, decision-making, and confidence on the ball. At EVO, we use futsal intentionally to sharpen the behaviours and skills that translate directly back to the outdoor game.

 

Led by EVO Futsal Coordinator Fabio Gouveia, and aligned with EVO Director Greg Hart and the wider coaching team, EVO Futsal is designed to complement academy training and support long-term player development.

WHY FUTSAL?

Futsal places players in environments that demand precision, speed of thought, and creativity.

 

Through consistent exposure, players develop:

 

  • Faster decision-making under pressure

  • Sharper ball control in tight spaces

  • Increased touches and involvement

  • Improved vision, scanning, and awareness

  • Precision passing and movement

  • Confidence in 1v1 situations

  • The ability to adapt and solve problems in real time

 

Many of the world’s top outdoor players were exposed to futsal during their formative years. The habits built indoors show up outdoors - cleaner first touches, calmer decisions, and greater confidence in possession.

JUNIOR FUTSAL LEAGUE (STARTING SOON 2026)

EVO will also be entering teams into structured futsal competitions this year.

 

The Junior Futsal League at Kingsway Indoor Stadium begins in April, with games played on Tuesday evenings. This provides players with consistent, competitive futsal exposure within a league environment.

 

Further details on team selection and competition structure will be shared once EOIs are reviewed.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Players submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) via the button below
     

  2. EVO reviews EOI forms, player information, technical ability & readiness to create balanced teams based on player age, experience, and position.
     

  3. Sessions and games are led and coached by EVO staff
     

  4. Teams compete with one clear objective: development through competition​
